The PC-Engine LT is a video game console designed and manufactured by NEC and Hudson Soft, released in Japan on December 13, 1991.

Its sales price which was quite high at that time, was partly due to the cost of its 4 inch diagonal TFT (color matrix) liquid-crystal display.

It is a transportable version of the PC-Engine since it does not have a battery compartment and therefore uses a power supply on the mains.

I had been designed primarily to serve as a technological showcase for the brand, and very few copies were produced.

The PC Engine LT also works with the PC Engine CD, and it has add-ons to turn it into a computer monitor, TV turner, you can even hook up an external source like a DVD player.

It was, and still is considered as a luxury item, and very few models are in circulation in the world. The PC Engine LT is an extremely valuable and highly collectable piece of video game.
