The Super Famicom is a 16-bit home video game console developed by Nintendo that was released in 1990 in Japan, 1991 in the USA, and 1992 in Europe.

It is the Japanese version of the system called Super Nintendo in Europe, or Super NES in the USA.

In Japan, the system is called the Super Famicom, officially adopting the abbreviated name of its predecessor, the Famicom, or SFC for short.

To many, this is the greatest video game console of all times.

Although each version is essentially the same, several forms of regional lockout prevent the different versions from being compatible with one another.

The SFC is Nintendo's second home console, following the Famicom in japan, or Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in the West.

The console introduced advanced graphics and sound capabilities compared with other systems at the time.

The SFC remained very popular among fans, collectors, retro gamers.
