The Aiwa Mega CD, also known as the Aiwa CSD-G1M, is an Aiwa CD player which can also play Sega Mega Drive and Mega CD games. The SEGA 32 X can be plugged to the unit as well.

It was released in Japan in 1994, six years after the Mega Drive, three years after the Mega CD, and the same year that the Saturn launched in Japan. It never left Japan.

The unit is made up of two components - an Aiwa CD radio and a dock which added the Mega Drive connections. Aiwa chose not to place the interface between the two on the sides that would connect, but instead opted to use a connection cable on the back.

This variant of the Mega Drive is one of the rarest made, and only saw limited release in Japan in 1994.

The AIWA Mega CD was produced at a very low level, which makes it am extremely rare and collector video game console. Retropixl only has a few units available.
